Some production companies create extraordinary idents which capture the attention of the audience as they stand out efficiently from other production companies. Therefore resulting in the audience both remembering and recognising their company in the future. An example of this is the production company, Fox Searchlight Pictures. They oppose the simplistic approach and use a very unique and bold ident to represent the company. It stands out from the rest due to its gold colour scheme and effective animations. Other companies which also use a similar style are Paramount, Dream Works, Columbia and Disney. These companies include more complicated animations and also incorporate a realistic element.
Most production companies habit a very simplistic approach towards their logos, consisting mostly of basic shapes, few colours and simple text. This production company opposes the above and has used a rather basic interpretation. Spectrevision uses a logo consisting of 3 triangles in colours of red and blue with a slight glow, haze in the centre. Then underneath in plain white text, the name of their company is visible.
Additionally, various productions create logos to relate to the genre which they feature in. Using associated colour schemes and iconography. In Hammer Films' logo they use a red font which is stereotypically associated with blood and therefore suggest the genre of horror. The font of the text also furthers this impression which relates to the genre better. Even without seeing the logo, It can also be considered that the use of the word 'Hammer' is iconic of weaponry which is associated with violence and therefore leading the the assumption that the chosen genre is horror.
